– Colour theory concepts
– Working and manipulating Technovent M511 silicone to achieve different soft tissue characteristics and mould packing techniques.
– Learning and utilising the Eskin
– Spectromatch system for achieving base colours, understanding benefits and limitations of this system.
– Traditional silicone colour matching technique to achieve anatomically detailed colour match

Sophie Fleming, MSc AIMPT
Clinical Anaplastologist
Sophie is a clinical anaplastologist with 20 years’ experience in the field, specialising in providing life-like prosthetic reconstruction of the face and body. She is visiting facial prosthetist, and member of the Integrated Prosthetics and Reconstruction (IPR) MDT at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Sydney, Australia. Her private practice Prosthetic Art Technology, is located in beautiful Northern New South Wales and services a large geographical area of the Australian east coast from Brisbane to Sydney, providing interdisciplinary facial prosthetic treatment to patient populations of most major hospitals in QLD and NSW.
Sophie’s passion lies in the intersection of art, health science, and technology, driving forward the field of reconstructive prosthetics. She holds a Masters of Science in Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation from King’s College London, and was a 2022 finalist in the Eureka Prize for Excellence in Interdisciplinary Scientific Research. She is actively involved in the ISMR Facial Prosthetics special interest group and serves as co-chair on the International Anaplastology Association’s Clinical Anaplastology Guidelines committee.
