Clinical Mechanism:

The PRF technique (Choukroun et al. 2001) involves centrifugation of whole blood without anticoagulants. This process yields a fibrin clot rich in platelets and leukocytes, acting as a natural reservoir of growth factors (VEGF, PDGF, TGF-β). These are gradually released, accelerating bone and soft tissue healing in surgical sites.

Indications for Use in Aesthetics:

PRF may be prepared and applied by registered health professionals for use in:

• Autologous injectable protocols as part of aesthetic procedures performed in clinical practice

• Supporting soft tissue integration following minimally invasive interventions

• Adjunctive use in procedures involving dermal and subdermal tissue application

• Preparation of autologous biomaterial for clinical use in aesthetic medicine
